The band's interest in Jazz education takes them to a number of schools every year, where they offer workshops to students and teachers. At these workshops the band's lead players take sessions on section playing, improvisation, and jazz theory, and the day often culminates in a concert with the students |

In addition,
many of the musicians have taught at state and international music camps.
The Sydney Metro Big Band proudly supports the International
Society for Jazz Education, and MD Jason Isaac has travelled to
the IAJE conference and is a member of it's
NSW committee. |
